Boutique Eat Shop

Grateful for sites like Lifebooker, TravelZoo, LivingSocial etc. for budget meal deals. For $70, we were able to order 2 cocktails, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and 2 desserts (no limitations on the menu and our meal easily totaled over $150). Plus, our voucher allowed us a choice of coffee or tea.

Our whole BES experience from beginning to end wa
s absolutely wonderful. We were never treated like bargain diners. In fact, our host and server were absolutely lovely! Plus, the ambiance of the space was super fun -- dim lighting, eclectic decor (huge dollhouse in the back of the restaurant, anyone?) plus catchy music playing in the background.

I ordered the Cazuela Punch for my cocktail.
The mix of tequila, jalapenos, citrus and ginger beer blended beautifully (I like my drinks spiiiiicy!). It also paired well with my appetizer, the Seared Ahi, Fuji Apple, Watercress and Peanut Miso Salad which was delicious! The tuna was seared to perfection and the flavors mixed brilliantly.

By recommendation of our server (and past Yelp reviewers), I chose the Australian Lamp Chops with Thyme Polenta and Roasted Cherry Tomatoes for my entree. The chops were medium-rare, oh-so-juicy and savory. I wish there were more then three! The tomatoes literally popped in my mouth and the polenta was akin to smooth cheesy grits (this is NOT a negative by any means).

For dessert, I finished off my meal with the molten Chocolate Lava Cake. Warm in the middle, topped with ice cream - mmm mmm good.

Might be expensive for a regular dinner outing but definitely worth it!
