I had just flown into Vegas from New York for some weekend debauchery and more importantly my first boxing match, and I was starving. A couple of my friends had driven over from Los Angeles, and we found out from some locals about this great Hawaiian place.

Really though? How great could it be? How Hawaiian could it be? We're in the middle of the desert, surrounded by casinos, with the highest concentration of transient legal degenerates in the country. Why would anyone from Hawaii want to come to Sin City and put up a restaurant?

It turns out, it's not just Hawaiian food! It's a mixed menu of Hawaiian, Japanese, and Filipino cuisine. Just my luck! I look Hawaiian, I've been to Japan, and I'm Filipino! What are the odds?!

So the menu, much like my appetite and stomach, is huge! They have things such as Spam Musubi, Mahi-Mahi, Pork Lau-lau, Kalbi, Tempura, Teriyaki bowls, and even Kalua pig! Unfortunately, I know that my eyes are much larger than my stomach, so to prevent from over-indulgence, I limited myself to one entree. The Adobo Fried Rice Omelet!

For all my Filipino brethren, it's exactly what you think, the classic adobo over rice, but wrapped in an omelet. For everyone else, adobo a Filipino staple. Read about it here.

This overstuffed omelet with rice and tender pieces of chicken is fully flavored by the adobo sauce. It's juicy, savory, and oh so filling. I can only imagine one omelet great than this, a sisig omelet. KFMN, let me know how it tastes when you make it.

After stuffing myself silly, I spent a few hours at the craps tables. Without any great luck, my friends and I fell back on Captain 'n Coke back at the hotel, and later that evening, I made my way to the Pacquiao - Dela Hoya fight! All I can say is, wow! It was a great win for the Pacman. It was so great that I decided to go hang out with him at his hotel room, sing in the choir for his mass, and take some pictures...

Freddie is cool too!
